Parimala & Co – ZEE5
One of the biggest OTT releases this week, Parimala & Co will stream on ZEE5 from July 10. Directed by
Pandiraaj, the black comedy thriller stars Jayaram and Urvashi, marking their reunion after over two decades since
Panchathanthiram. The film also features Mysskin, Yogi Babu and Santosh Sobhan in key roles. The story follows a middle-class Chennai family whose lives are disrupted after a man accused of troubling their youngest daughter is found dead.
Peddi – Netflix
Ram Charan’s sports action drama
Peddi arrives on Netflix on July 9. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film stars Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu alongside Ram Charan. Set in rural Andhra Pradesh, the film follows a talented young cricketer whose dreams are shattered due to unexpected circumstances. Forced to leave the sport behind, he discovers a new purpose through wrestling and becomes a symbol of his village’s fight for justice. It is now the highest earning South Indian film of the year.
Land of Football – JioHotstar
The Malayalam documentary series Land of Football premieres on JioHotstar on July 10. The series explores Kerala’s passion for football over seven decades, focusing on the sport’s impact more than professional teams and players. From local tournaments and village grounds to the fan culture surrounding FIFA World Cups, the documentary captures how football has become an integral part of everyday life in Kerala.
Kotha Malupu – Prime Video
Streaming on Prime Video from July 6, Kotha Malupu is a Telugu romantic comedy-drama directed by Siva Kesanakurthi. The film stars Akash Goparaju, Bhairavi Ardhya Deka, Mahendhar P, Raghu Babu, Prudhvi and Prabhavati Varma. Set in a rural village, the story follows two cousins whose close bond slowly develops into love.
Sing Geetham – Netflix
The fantasy musical comedy
Sing Geetham begins streaming on Netflix on July 9. Directed by 94-year-old Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, the film features Ayaan, Ahilya Bamroo, Shalini Kondepudi, Sivannarayana Naripeddi, Agu Stanley Chiedozie, Vijay Deverakonda (cameo), KV Anudeep, Rahul Ravindran and Nivetha Pethuraj.
