Legendary actor and filmmaker Rob Reiner has been nominated for a posthumous Emmy, nearly seven months after his death. The award comes after his guest appearance as Albert in FX's hit comedy-drama The Bear in the fourth season. Reiner is nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, facing some stiff competition from Michael J. Fox for Shrinking, Brett Goldstein for Shrinking, Hamish Linklater for Widow's Bay, Christopher McDonald for Hacks, and Connor Storrie for Saturday Night Live. The Emmy nomination also comes on the heels of what was described as Reiner's final acting performance.
