Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer Maa Inti Bangaram already seems to be on its way to success. Even before its release, the Telugu film has already recovered its full investment. The news was confirmed by producer Himank Duvvuru of Tralala Moving Pictures himself. Maa Inti Bangaram marks Samantha's much-awaited comeback on the big screen and the film already scoring its first landmark victory is a good sign with regard to its upcoming theatrical run. Directed by B.V. Nandini Reddy, the project, touted to be an action-comedy family drama, follows a newly married woman hiding a dangerous past who must protect her traditional household from a resurfacing threat. Manchale.Maa Inti Bangaram has been created by Samantha's husband, and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru. It is produced by Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Raj and Himank Duvvuru under the Tralala Moving Pictures banner. Vasanth Maringanti and Raj have co-written the screenplay along with some screenplay inputs by Prahas Boppudi.
Maa Inti Bangaram recovers cost
According to Hindustan Times, Maa Inti Bangaram has already recovered its entire production cost ahead of its June 19 release. Reports suggest that the strong demand for theatrical and non-theatrical rights helped the film to close all major deals before it hit audiences. The report quoted its production team that interest from distributors, streaming platforms and buyers in multiple territories remained high throughout the pre-release phase. All the rights deals were settled beforehand, which meant the project was financially secure going into release week, claimed the makers.
Producer reiterates Maa Inti Bangaram's strength
"For a female-led Telugu film in the current market, this is a strong commercial signal. The rights were packaged early, buyers were engaged well in advance, and every deal was closed with the intention of making it successful together with our distributors and buyers. We hope to keep up the faith they have shown in our movie," said producer Himank Duvvuru. He reiterated that the team always believed in the strength of the story and Samantha's ability to carry the project.
Samantha's comeback
Maa Inti Bangaram is an important chapter in
Samantha Ruth Prabhu's career. The actress was last seen in the 2023 films Kushi and Shaakuntalam, before turning her focus primarily to digital projects. In 2024 she appeared alongside Varun Dhawan in the streaming series Citadel: Honey Bunny. She also made a special appearance in 2025's Subham, which she helped produce.Maa Inti Bangaram is her first major theatrical release in three years and adds to the anticipation of the project.
