Netflix seems to be quietly offering free trials again, but not to everyone. Some new users are seeing an option to stream for 30 days without paying, while others are being offered only a 15-day trial. There hasn't been any official announcement from Netflix about the return of free trials, making the rollout a little confusing. To see how it works in practice, we at Times Now Tech created a brand-new Netflix account. During the sign-up process, the option for a 30-day free trial appeared, suggesting that the offer is indeed live for at least some users. If you're planning to create a new account, here's what you need to know. How To Claim Netflix's Free TrialIf your account is eligible, getting the trial takes just a few minutes. Start by creating
a new Netflix account. During registration, look for the "Try 30 days for ₹0" option. If it appears, simply choose the subscription plan you want and complete the sign-up using a valid UPI ID or a debit or credit card. Once the process is complete, you can start watching immediately without paying anything during the trial period. One thing to keep in mind is that Netflix enables automatic renewal. If you don't plan to continue with a paid subscription, remember to cancel AutoPay before the trial ends. Otherwise, your selected plan will automatically renew and the payment method linked to your account will be charged.Only Getting A 15-Day Trial? Some Users Say This WorksNot everyone is seeing the same offer. While many users have reported receiving the 30-day trial, others say Netflix only shows a 15-day free trial.Based on posts circulating on X, some users claim they were able to unlock the longer trial by first connecting to a VPN before creating a new Netflix account. Once the 30-day offer appeared, they disconnected the VPN and continued with the regular sign-up process. We also verified the offer independently at Times Now Tech using a fresh Netflix account and were able to spot the one-month free trial. That said, your experience may differ. Netflix appears to be showing different offers depending on factors such as region, account history or ongoing testing.Since the streaming giant hasn't officially confirmed that free trials have returned across India, it's best to treat this as a limited or experimental offer. If you don't see the promotion today, it doesn't necessarily mean you're doing something wrong. It simply may not be available for your account yet.
