OpenClaw
took the internet by the storm when it was initially launched in November 2025. It was originally an open-source program that turned an AI into a fully automated personal assistant that lived in your computer to do tasks for you. Now, OpenClaw has launched its standalone mobile apps for iOS and Android users, bringing its AI agent to smartphones for the first time. The apps let users to chat with an AI assistant and with permission, give it access to features such as the camera, screen, location, photos, contacts, calendar and reminders.
OpenClaw Expands To Mobile
Unlike a standard chatbot that only answers questions,
OpenClaw is designed to interact with apps, services, and devices to complete actions with user approval. The launch marks a key step for OpenClaw, which gained popularity from a relatively small-open source project into a notable name in the AI industry. The project is now managed by the OpenClaw Foundation after its founder, Peter Steinberger, joined OpenAI earlier this year. While the mobile apps have been published by the foundation, OpenAI previously said it would provide support to the organisation, although it did not specify what that support would include.
