A
statement issued by Sudipa Chatterjee on behalf of Rajesh Sharma's family had earlier said that his health scare began after a suspected insect bite during the shoot of an upcoming Prabhas film, but the makers of Fauzi have reportedly denied that any such incident took place on their set. Adding to this, a workers' body stepped in and asked for a proper probe into the entire matter. And now, in yet another update, the statement about Rajesh Sharma's condition, shared via social media, has been taken down.
Sudipa Chatterjee Deletes Rajesh Sharma's Medical Statement
Sudipa Chatterjee had put out a statement on behalf of Rajesh Sharma's family, explaining how the actor allegedly got hurt on set. That post has since disappeared from social media. The statement had claimed Rajesh Sharma was talking to local technicians in a green, bushy area at Ramoji Film City when he felt the bite. Since the bite did not appear serious at first, Rajesh Sharma did not seek immediate medical attention.Around six hours later, he developed intense pain in his right leg. Despite his worsening condition, he boarded a flight back to Kolkata. During the journey, he reportedly developed a high fever, became increasingly restless, and later experienced breathlessness. He was admitted to a hospital in Dhakuria, Kolkata, the following day.
What Fauzi Makers Reportedly Said About The Incident
The makers of Fauji have denied that
Rajesh Sharma's medical emergency happened on their film set, as reported by Gulte. According to the film's team, Rajesh Sharma had wrapped up his portions almost a week before the incident was reported and had already left Hyderabad by then. The team also stated there was no information about the actor getting injured on set. The makers also revealed they tried reaching out to Rajesh Sharma's family for more details but got no clear response.Adding to this, Rajesh Sharma's own personal assistant Subhashish Panda said that he is always with Rajesh Sharma wherever he travels and insisted that nothing of this sort happened in Hyderabad, as per Track Tollywood.
AICWA Demands Clarity
The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has stepped into the matter and asked for answers. AICWA has urged Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to order a high-level inquiry into the incident. The association wants the investigation to find out the exact cause of Rajesh Sharma's medical emergency, check if safety and hygiene rules were followed, and identify any negligence by the producer, production house, or other responsible people.Further, the AICWA has demanded that the makers bear the complete cost of Rajesh Sharma's treatment and ensure he gets the best possible medical care until he fully recovers.Earlier, AICWA president Suresh Shyamlal Gupta had also raised pointed questions about the delay in Rajesh Sharma getting proper medical help, asking why he wasn't shifted to a top hospital sooner.
