BTS
kicked off its Europe leg in Madrid, Spain, with two sold-out shows on June 26-27 at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium. And to say the boy band did not perform for the ARMYs, but rather the ARMYs performed for them, wouldn't be wrong. In some of the most splendid moments during the concert, the entire stadium stayed in perfect sync as RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook's voices echoed in the air. The audience left no line of any track the members sang, without singing along. At one point, the OT7 was barely audience and all the idols did was put their mics down and hear the fans do a role reversal much to their happiness.
Need the whole stadium to jump...
The scene was from Day 2. It was evident that every ARMY member in attendence made the concert, a once in a lifetime show, ensuring their voice on the Korean traditional interlude Arirang was audience even outside the venue. While the members expressed their love, promising to come back, the show also had emotional and overwhelming moments for fans.
Gimme that gasoline...
But this was after BTS had already shocked the audience with their hotness quotient on the first day. The performance was the K-pop band's first visit to the country, and as
J-Hope shouted in Spanish, "¡Vamos a volvernos locos!" ("Let’s go crazy!"), V added, "ARMY is on fire!" There was more that awaited the fans. While J-Hope brought his chiselled chest and abs, peeking through his half-unbuttoned black shirt, Jungkook went bare in a front-open denim shirt during the soundcheck, proving that the K-pop artists surely knew how to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
Water falling off your skin...
The most unexpected moment was however given by Taehyung, when he made a fan drink water from his bottle. At another moment, he even threw away the bottle in the audience, leaving the global ARMY losing their calm. But that was not all, at one point during the show, Jungkook also opened his T-shirt and flung it in the audience. Even Jimin did his part and wooed a fan with a flying kiss, leaving the stadium screaming.
Beat going Hooligan...
While the maknae line's goofiness continues with the hyung Jin joining in, Suga expectedly remained unbothered while singing his produced Come Over. After two dozen shows as part of their ongoing
ARIRANG World Tour, BTS is well versed in how to give the best memories and moments to ARMYs. While their own comfort and ease with each other is palpable, not a single show has gone by without clips of their onstage shenanigans going viral.
Yeah, I'm lost...
BTS had an epic debut in Spain with the Madrid shows which drew more than 66,000 people, according to sources from Atlético de Madrid. With Airplane Pt2, Interlude: Wings, Mikrokosmos and Best Of Me being the surprise songs on the two days, it was a perfect curtain down on Madrid. In their thank you address, Jimin said, "I can see that you've all gone crazy! You're all nuts! You're amazing. I think we need to come back to Madrid. At another time. Will you wait for us? Thank you so much for giving us such wonderful memories. I promise, we'll meet here again. I love you!"BTS will now head to Brussels, London, Munich and Paris, before concluding the tour on March 14, 2027, in Manila, Philippines.
