Anand shot to fame with the role of Manjusha in Ekta Kapoor’s superhit show, Pavitra Rishta. The Zee TV show starred Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead roles. Suwati played a grey character in it. Recently, in an exclusive interaction with Zoom/Telly Talk India, Suwati shared some unknown stories about Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande’s relationship. She revealed Ankita and Sushant were madly in love with each other. They would fight and quickly resolve their issues. For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, 2020.
Sushant Singh Rajput-Ankita Lokhande Dating Days
During a candid chat with us, Suwati Anand revealed an interesting story of Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande’s relationship. She said, “Sushant and Ankita fell in love quickly. He joined Pavitra Rishta at the end of June, and in September, they started dating each other. We were quite surprised with the fact that they fell in love so quickly. In September, they started living together. They were very cute. They purchased a flat, a car and other things. They didn't hide it. They told us very quickly that they are in love.”
“They would fight on small things and quickly resolve the issues. Sushant and Ankita were madly in love with each other,” Suwati added.
Suwati On Bagging Pavitra Rishta
When asked about doing a negative character in Pavitra Rishta, Suwati Anand said that Manjusha was a grey character. She revealed, “I got a call from Balaji for Pavitra Rishta. During narration, Ekta Kapoor ma'am told me that my character is not negative. My character was different. It was a grey character. I give full credit to Ravindra Gautam sir for making my character, Manjusha, famous. My entry scene was shot 8 times.”
Suwati Anand still misses all her co-actors of Pavitra Rishta. While speaking about her bond, the Kasamh Se star said, “I miss all of them. I miss Savita Prabhune ji. She has become my mother. She is my mentor. I am still in touch with Parag Desai, Ankita Lokhande and others. I worked on the show for 4.5 years. We were together 24/7.”
Suwati Anand On CBI’s Closure Report In Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death Case
The CBI issued a closure report in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. In the report, the team mentioned that the actor died by suicide and ruled out any foul play or criminal conspiracy. When asked about the same, Suwati Anand said, “I also can't accept that he will commit suicide. He was very different. He had so much work. The closure report by CBI is beyond my imagination.” Suwati Anand has also worked in shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Naagin, Karam Apnaa Apnaa, Ek Ladki Anjaani Si, Mannat and so on.
