Vijay's Jana Nayagan has finally arrived in theatres after months of anticipation and a prolonged delay, marking what was widely billed as the actor's final film before his full-fledged entry into politics. However, the film's producer, Venkata Narayana, believes fans may not have seen the last of Tamil Nadu CM Vijay on the big screen just yet. Speaking on the day of the film's release, the producer shared his admiration for the superstar and expressed hope that Vijay will continue acting despite his increasing political commitments.

Producer hopes Vijay continues acting after Jana Nayagan

As Jana Nayagan opened in theatres, producer Venkata Narayana spoke to NDTV about Vijay's legacy and his desire to see the actor return to films in the future. While the film has long been promoted as Vijay's final acting project before focusing entirely on politics, the producer said he would love to see the superstar continue balancing both worlds if circumstances permit.

"I love him as an actor. Now I'm loving him as a politician and a leader. I want him to continue making movies, continue acting, but he has got bigger responsibilities." Although he acknowledged that Vijay's political responsibilities may make future acting projects difficult because he has to manage his time, he admitted that audiences would be delighted to see the actor return to cinema. He added, "We would love to see him on the screen."

Expressing his excitement over the film's release, the producer said the project had now become the audience's film. "From today onwards, Jana Nayagan belongs to the people. Let's celebrate Vijay Sir and his legacy for one last time on the big screen." he said.Jana Nayagan faced several hurdles before finally making it to theatres, including a seven-month delay caused by certification issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Looking back at those challenges, Venkata Narayana said it was time to move on and focus on the positive response from audiences rather than the difficulties encountered during the release process. The producer added that the overwhelming reception from fans had made the long wait worthwhile.

Speaking about the audience's response, Venkata Narayana revealed that he had heard many moviegoers were returning to theatres for repeat screenings. "We don't know who the viewers are, but I am told that many of them are buying multiple tickets to come and watch on the big screen again," claimed the producer.Released after months of anticipation, Jana Nayagan is directed by H. Vinoth and stars Vijay in the lead role alongside Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju and Prakash Raj. The Tamil film has also been released in Hindi and Telugu, allowing audiences across India to watch what many believe could be Vijay's farewell performance, though his producer hopes it won't be his last.
