has confirmed that it will be launching its Poco M8 Power in India next month. Ahead of its official launch, the Xiaomi sub-brand has started teasing its upcoming smartphone on Flipkart, revealing some of its hardware.
Poco M8 Power India Debut: Release Timeline
According to Poco, the
upcoming Poco M8 Power will debut in India on August 4 at 12PM IST. After its launch, the handset will be available to purchase from Flipkart. This handset is teased to offer an AMOLED display. The company has also revealed its battery capacity. This smartphone will pack an 8,000mAh battery, which is claimed to provide up to three days of usage on a single charge. The company has revealed the smartphone in a flashy orange colour. As per the landing page on Flipkart, the smartphone will come with a square-shaped camera island that seems to take the top half at the back of the device and feature two lenses, alongside an LED flash and the branding of Poco.
As of now, the company remains tight lipped about other specifications of this smartphone. As per various leaks circulating online, the smartphone is likely to be rebadged iteration of the Redmi Note 17. If this holds true, then the Poco M8 Power may share some of its hardware with the Redmi Note 17, which made its debut in China recently. The Redmi Note 17 was launched in China with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. This global variant comes with a 7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and offers up to a 120Hz refresh rate and up to a 240Hz touch sampling rate along with 1800 nits of peak brightness. The Poco M8 Power will join the Poco M8 in the company’s lineup in India. It is crucial to note that the expected specifications of the smartphone are based on leaks and must be taken with a pinch of salt.
