Recently, a grand event was hosted in Delhi where selected media and dignitaries were shown the trailer. The response was positive. As the countdown to the trailer launch commenced, Siddharth Anand shared his review on X. The filmmaker, who is busy working on Shah Rukh Khan’s King, watched the much-anticipated Ramayana trailer and called it ‘grand’ and ‘spectacular’. Nitesh Tiwari, the director of the film, will be starting the global promotional tour with the trailer launch at the San Diego Comic-Con 2026.

In his tweet, Siddharth wrote, “Expect the world, and you shall not be disappointed! Yes it’s GRAND, it’s SPECTACULAR! And. Its heart is absolutely in the right place! Watched it twice to soak it all in. Yet wanted more. Can’t wait for Diwali!”

On Monday, Atlee reviewed Ramayana’s trailer and tweeted, “Absolutely blown away by the #Ramayana trailer! What a vision by @NamitMalhotra sir and what incredible craft from @niteshtiwari22 sir. @TheNameIsYash bro looks unbelievably lethal, Ranbir Kapoor bro is stunning, and @Sai_Pallavi92 is ethereal. About Ramayana

Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash is making his Bollywood debut as Ravana. Sunny Deol is Lord Hanuman, Ravi Dubey will play Lakshman, and Lara Dutta will portray Kaikeyi. Rakul Preet Singh has been chosen to play Shurpanakha. Kajal Aggarwal is Mandodari, whereas Arun Govil is King Dashrath. Vivek Oberoi will play Vidyutjihva, Kunal Kapoor is Lord Indra, Adinath Kothare joins the cast as Bharata. Anupam Kher will be the voice of Jatayu. At the Pratham Sankalp event in Delhi, Namit Malhotra, the producer of Ramayana, revealed Ranbir and Sai Pallavi were the first choices for Rama and Sita. He said, "Nitesh was very clear about casting when we used to have our discussions. Ranbir and Sai were his first choice. He and I share that sentiment. We have actually got people who we have felt would be the best. And people who are for some reason not connected with us on this film have brought other people into the film who have equally done a terrific job.”Nitesh added, "I have a strong opinion that an artist's eyes tell the truth. I could always see Lord Ram in Ranbir's eyes and Sita Maa in Sai's eyes. Apart from them being extremely gifted and talented, I just felt the kind of sincerity I was looking for and the kind of preparation I wanted the character to go through for such important roles, I could find in only these two beautiful souls. And I am so happy."The first part of Ramayana will be releasing on Diwali 2026. The film will continue with its next part in 2027.
