The return journey starts from Ooty at 2:00 PM. For those who can't get tickets for the full route, the section between Coonoor and Ooty offers a shorter, yet still beautiful, 90-minute ride with more frequent services. While tickets can sometimes be purchased at the station, they often sell out within minutes, especially during peak tourist seasons like summer and long weekends.
