This is not a soft deadline; once the window closes, securing a Yatra Permit through this channel becomes impossible. Mandatory Health and Age Requirements
The Amarnath Yatra is a physically demanding pilgrimage at high altitudes, and the SASB has strict guidelines to ensure the safety of all devotees. Registration is open only to individuals between the ages of 13 and 70. Additionally, women who are more than six weeks pregnant are not permitted to undertake the journey. The most crucial requirement is the Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC). This certificate must be issued by a doctor or medical institution specifically authorised by your state or UT government. Registration is not available at all bank branches. The SASB has partnered with specific branches of Punjab National Bank, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, and Yes Bank across the country. The Bank Registration Process

Upon successful payment and verification, the bank will issue you a Yatra Permit on the spot. This permit will specify the date and route (either the Pahalgam or Baltal route) for your pilgrimage. After Registration: Preparing for the Journey
Securing your Yatra Permit is a huge milestone, but it marks the beginning of your preparations. The journey to the Amarnath cave is arduous. Begin a regimen of physical fitness, such as walking for 4-5 kilometres daily, to build stamina. Plan for acclimatisation by arriving in Jammu or Srinagar a few days before your Yatra date.
