Running from July 9th to 13th, Agri Intex 2026 is one of India's most significant agricultural events. Organized by the Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA), the fair transforms the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex into a hub of innovation.
This year, 496 companies from across India and countries like Italy, Japan, and the US are spread across 660 stalls. The event aims to connect farmers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers with the latest technologies in farming, horticulture, dairy, and food processing. With a history of generating over ₹1000 million in trade in past editions and attracting over 100,000 visitors, its scale and impact are undeniable.

Advanced drone sprayers, which can cover large areas efficiently, are a key highlight, addressing the persistent issue of labour shortages. Alongside them are direct paddy-transplanting machines and automated harvesters that streamline work from planting to harvest. Innovations are not just limited to large machinery. Companies are showcasing multipurpose electric vehicles designed for small farms, capable of handling spraying, load-carrying, and stubble removal on a single charge. Beyond hardware, the focus is also on agri-inputs, with stalls for high-quality seeds, organic fertilisers, and even climate-adapted saplings like Shimla apples grown for local conditions.

The move towards mechanisation and automation directly tackles rising labour costs and unavailability.
