Theory alone is not enough to build a career in AI. True fluency is developed through hands-on practice and experimentation. An effective course must bridge the gap between lectures and real-world application. Look for programs that incorporate practical, project-based learning where you can build, test, and deploy actual models. These projects—whether building a chatbot, an image classifier, or a predictive model—are what build your portfolio and demonstrate your capabilities to potential employers. Courses that don't offer a concrete method to build a portfolio are likely relying on hype rather than genuine skill development. You should finish a program not just with a certificate, but with tangible proof of your skills.

Many courses make bold promises about career advancement and high salaries. Your job is to verify these claims. Be cautious of programs that offer fake job guarantees, as these often lack real connections to tech companies or structured recruitment support. A trustworthy institution will be transparent about its outcomes. Look for alumni success stories, and don't hesitate to check the LinkedIn profiles of past learners to see where they ended up. In India, graduates with hands-on AI project experience are in particularly high demand across sectors like healthcare, finance, and manufacturing. While the demand for AI skills is surging, it's crucial to connect training to real employment. Ask about career support, placement assistance, and the strength of the alumni network, as these resources provide significant long-term value.
