includes complex pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking phases scheduled through mid-October to upgrade the infrastructure. Passengers on several long-distance services will be affected by these modifications.
Major Affected Routes: Bhopal-Jodhpur and Rewa-Rani Kamalapati
Among the most impacted services are those running between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Train No. 14813, the Jodhpur-Bhopal Express, will be diverted via Kota, Nagda, and Sant Hirdaram Nagar for its journeys from October 1 to October 14. In the reverse direction, Train No. 14814, the Bhopal-Jodhpur Express, will follow the same alternate path from October 1 to October 15. Similarly, the Rewanchal Express services face significant changes. Train No. 12185 (Rewa-Rani Kamalapati) and Train No. 12186 (Rani Kamalapati-Rewa) will both be rerouted through Itarsi Junction, Jabalpur, and Katni Junction between October 8 and October 14.
Changes for Jabalpur, Rewa and Dr Ambedkar Nagar Services
The engineering work also affects other key services in the region. Train No. 11703, the Rewa-Dr Ambedkar Nagar Tri-Weekly Express, will run on a diverted route via Bina Malkhedi, Mahadevkhedi, Guna, Ruthiyai, and Maksi on October 8, 11, and 13. Its return service, Train No. 11704, will use the same alternate route in the opposite direction on October 9, 12, and 14. The Jabalpur-Veraval Express (Train No. 11466) is scheduled for diversion via the Itarsi-Bhopal route on October 9 and 12, with its corresponding service, Train No. 11465 from Veraval to Jabalpur, taking the same rerouting on October 10 and 12.
Howrah-Bhopal Weekly Express Diversion
Passengers travelling on the Howrah-Bhopal route should also take note of changes. Train No. 13025, the Howrah-Bhopal Weekly Express, will be diverted on its journey scheduled for October 12. The train will run via New Katni Junction, Katni South, Jabalpur, and Itarsi Junction. For the return journey, Train No. 13026, the Bhopal-Howrah Weekly Express, will be rerouted through the same stations in the reverse order on October 14. These diversions are temporary but will add to the travel time, and passengers are advised to account for these changes when planning their trips.
