This followed major crackdowns in June across Mumbai, Bhiwandi, and Satara, where the FDA seized crores worth of illegal and misbranded cosmetics from unlicensed manufacturing units and retailers. These raids uncovered products, including children's items, being made in unhygienic conditions without proper licenses, labels, or manufacturing details. This wasn't just a case of poor quality; it was about products with potentially severe health risks being sold to unsuspecting consumers.
The Real Dangers of Counterfeit Cosmetics
