After this deadline, owners of unregistered pets could face a significant fine of up to ₹5,000. The move follows a directive from the Rajasthan High Court concerning stray animal management and public safety. JMC Commissioner Om Kasera clarified that the primary goal is not to penalise citizens but to create a comprehensive database for better public health management, particularly to make Jaipur rabies-free and ensure all pets are properly vaccinated.
