This approach helps create a more accurate and real-time picture of the train's location, which can be more reliable than data updated only at stations. For offline use, RailYatri allows you to check running status and timetables without internet, provided you've accessed the route once while online. By switching to GPS mode within the app during your journey, you can continue to track your train's progress even through areas with poor connectivity. As the official app from Indian Railways, NTES is a highly trusted source of information. While its primary function relies on an internet connection to provide real-time status, it does offer some offline capabilities. Users can access saved train schedules and routes without being online, which is useful for quick reference. The app provides comprehensive details on train timings, real-time status when connected, and platform numbers. While it may not have the sophisticated cell-tower or GPS-based offline tracking of third-party apps, its direct link to the railway's official information system makes it an essential and reliable tool for any train traveller to have as a backup for verifying information when a connection is available.
