The monsoon has washed Karnataka's forests clean, leaving behind a vibrant, emerald landscape. This is the perfect time for wildlife enthusiasts to head out, as the lush greenery and full water bodies bring the fauna out in full display.
Nagarhole National Park (Kabini)
Often hailed as
one of South India's premier wildlife destinations, the post-monsoon season transforms Nagarhole into a photographer's paradise. The Kabini reservoir is full, attracting large herds of elephants to its banks. The park remains open throughout the monsoon and post-monsoon seasons. For the best chances of seeing big cats like tigers and leopards, the first safari of the day is highly recommended. The early start often catches predators on the move before they settle down for the day.
