Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has recently launched not one, but several major partnerships to embed AI into its ecosystem. In early August 2026, MAHE announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft to establish five dedicated AI labs across
its constituent units. These labs will be set up at T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) in Manipal and Bengaluru, the Manipal School of Commerce and Economics, the Manipal Institute of Commerce, Finance and Economics, and the Manipal Law School. This follows another significant collaboration announced with IBM to launch the 'MAHE Intelligence GPU (MIG)' lab at its Bengaluru campus, which features a High-Performance Computing (HPC) facility. These initiatives aim to give students and faculty access to cutting-edge tools from global tech leaders.
Hands-On Experience Over Theory
The core takeaway for any aspiring student is the shift from purely theoretical knowledge to practical, hands-on experience. The MAHE initiatives are built around this very principle.
