To enjoy, you can simply eat the jewel-like seeds (called arils) on their own. They also make a fantastic addition to salads, yoghurt, oatmeal, or as a garnish for savoury dishes. To de-seed, cut the fruit in half and, holding it over a bowl, tap the back firmly with a wooden spoon to release the arils.
