Ready to try it? Here is a simple, classic recipe. Feel free to adjust the ingredients to your taste. Ingredients: - 2 cups of water - 1-inch piece of ginger, crushed - 4-5 tulsi leaves - 2-3 cloves - 2-3 whole black peppercorns, crushed - 1 small stick of cinnamon - Jaggery or honey to taste (add honey after the kadha has cooled slightly) Method: Combine water, ginger, tulsi, cloves, peppercorns, and cinnamon in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the water has reduced by about half and turned a deep amber colour. Strain the liquid into a cup. Add jaggery or honey if you like it sweet. Sip slowly and enjoy the warmth.
