Your Day-by-Day Itinerary Highlights
The tour is packed with iconic sights, starting with a flight from Chennai to Da Nang, Vietnam. Upon arrival, you'll explore the coastal city's highlights, including the stunning Marble Mountains, the famous My Khe Beach, and the impressive Dragon Bridge. A major highlight is the visit to Ba Na Hills, where you will experience the world-renowned Golden Bridge held up by two giant stone hands and explore the charming French Village. The journey continues with a trip to the lantern-lit ancient town of Hoi An. From Da Nang, the tour group flies to Hanoi, Vietnam's capital. Here, you will visit historical landmarks like the Temple of Literature and Hoan Kiem Lake. No trip to Vietnam is complete without seeing Ha Long Bay. The package includes an unforgettable overnight cruise through the bay's emerald waters, navigating past thousands of limestone karsts and islets. On the sixth day, the adventure moves to Cambodia with a flight from Hanoi to Siem Reap, the gateway to the ancient wonders of the Khmer empire. The final days are dedicated to exploring the magnificent Angkor Wat temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before flying back to Chennai via Singapore.
What the Package Includes
One of the biggest draws of this IRCTC package is its all-inclusive nature, which simplifies travel planning significantly. The price covers a wide range of services, ensuring peace of mind. Included are economy class air tickets for all international and internal flights (Chennai-Da Nang, Da Nang-Hanoi, Hanoi-Siem Reap, and Siem Reap-Chennai). Accommodation for all seven nights is arranged in comfortable 3-star hotels, including two nights in Da Nang, two in Hanoi, one night on the Ha Long Bay cruise, and two nights in Siem Reap. The package also covers all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) throughout the trip. For sightseeing and transfers, you'll travel in an air-conditioned deluxe coach. An English-speaking tour guide will accompany the group at all destinations. Crucially, the cost also includes visa fees for both Vietnam and Cambodia, as well as travel insurance for passengers up to the age of 79.
A Detailed Look at the Cost
IRCTC has structured the pricing to accommodate different types of travellers, from solo adventurers to families. The starting price is based on triple occupancy. For three people sharing a room, the cost per person is ₹1,51,250. For double occupancy, the price is ₹1,53,750 per person. For those preferring their own space, the single occupancy package is priced at ₹1,75,200. There are also options for families travelling with children. The cost for a child between 5 and 11 years with an extra bed is ₹1,31,500, while a child between 2 and 11 years without a separate bed costs ₹1,15,600. It is important to note that these prices are inclusive of 2% Tax Collected at Source (TCS), which is a mandatory tax on overseas tour packages. This upfront pricing model helps travellers budget effectively without worrying about numerous hidden costs along the way.
Essential Things to Know Before You Book
Before finalising your booking, there are a few important details to consider. All travellers must have a passport with at least six months of validity remaining after the scheduled return date. You will also need to provide a clear scanned copy of your passport and recent passport-sized photographs for the visa application process. IRCTC handles the visa submission, but holds no responsibility if an embassy rejects the application; in such cases, it would be treated as a full cancellation with no refund. Furthermore, while the itinerary is set, the flight schedules are subject to change based on airline operations, and IRCTC notes that no refunds will be provided for services missed due to airline delays or cancellations. Finally, infant airfare for children under two years is not included and must be paid directly to the airline. Passengers are also required to submit their PAN card details and a TCS declaration form at the time of booking.
