For exercise lasting between 60 and 90 minutes, you should start considering a beverage that contains electrolytes, especially sodium, which is the primary electrolyte lost in sweat. Once you push past the 90-minute mark, particularly in high-intensity endurance sports, replenishing both electrolytes and carbohydrates becomes crucial. The Impact of a Hot Climate
Exercising in the heat presents a significant challenge to your body's cooling system. High temperatures cause you to sweat more, leading to greater fluid loss. But in humid conditions, the air is already saturated with moisture, preventing sweat from evaporating effectively.
