This discipline prevents you from getting tangled in a web of changes where the true drivers of success or failure are impossible to identify. Why Chaos Kills Progress

The one-at-a-time method can sometimes miss the synergistic effects of combining certain changes. Furthermore, it requires patience. Running a series of individual tests takes more time than making a dozen changes all at once. However, the speed of the latter approach is often an illusion. You may move faster initially, but the confusion it creates can lead to backtracking and rework, ultimately slowing you down.
