How to Improve Your Sleep Quality
Improving sleep quality doesn't have to be complicated. The first and most impactful step is to establish a consistent sleep-wake schedule. Beyond that, focus on creating a healthy sleep environment and habits. This includes making your bedroom cool, dark, and quiet. Avoid caffeine and alcohol, especially in the hours before bed, as they can disrupt sleep architecture and suppress REM sleep. Creating a relaxing pre-sleep routine, such as reading a book or taking a warm bath, can also signal to your body that it's time to wind down. Limiting exposure to blue light from phones and screens an hour or two before bed is also crucial, as it can interfere with your body's production of melatonin, the sleep hormone.
