It's a multiple-entry visa valid for 120 days, allowing a stay of up to 30 days. Notably, Indian passport holders with valid visas or residence permits from countries like the US, UK, or Schengen area may be able to enter visa-free for up to 90 days.

The main town, Mestia, is the base for exploring the region and hiking to places like Ushguli, one of the highest continuously inhabited settlements in Europe. Getting to Svaneti takes longer—either a long drive or a short domestic flight from a regional airport near Tbilisi—but the dramatic landscapes are a worthy reward.
