They are powered by large language models that identify core arguments, methodologies, and conclusions, effectively doing the initial heavy lifting of academic reading. For students juggling multiple courses, part-time jobs, and personal commitments, these tools feel less like a luxury and more like a lifeline, promising to turn hours of tedious reading into minutes of focused review.
A Student's Double-Edged Sword
