Experts agree that organisations must be open with employees about what is being monitored, why it is being monitored, and how the data will be used. A clear, accessible policy is non-negotiable. The focus should remain on performance and security outcomes, not on tracking individual activity for its own sake. Whenever possible, data should be aggregated and anonymized to identify trends without singling out individuals.
