Similarly, special trains are being operated to accommodate devotees for the Kanwar Yatra and to facilitate candidates appearing for Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examinations. Key Special Train Services for August
Multiple railway zones have introduced services connecting key destinations across the country. South Central Railway, for example, has launched special trains connecting northern and southern India, including services between Kanpur Central and Madurai, and Prayagraj and Tirunelveli. These trains will run on specific days throughout August, stopping at major stations like Bhopal, Nagpur, Vijayawada, and Salem to serve passengers along these busy corridors. For the Ganpati festival, a large number of services will originate from Mumbai's CSMT and LTT stations, as well as from Pune, connecting to the Konkan region. More Flexibility with Boarding Station Changes

Travellers can now change their boarding point after booking a ticket, a feature that has become significantly more flexible. Under the new provisions, passengers with confirmed or RAC tickets can modify their boarding station online or at a counter up to the preparation of the second reservation chart, which is typically just before the train's departure. This allows for last-minute changes in plans without the risk of forfeiting the seat. For example, if you booked a ticket from a train's origin station but find it more convenient to board at the next major stop, you can now make that change officially. This reform eliminates the anxiety of potentially being marked as a 'no-show' and having your seat allocated to someone else if you miss boarding at your original station.
