Companies like Skyroot Aerospace and Agnikul Cosmos are at the forefront of building India's first private launch vehicles. Skyroot became the first Indian private company to launch a rocket, marking a major milestone for the sector. In the satellite domain, companies like Pixxel, which focuses on high-resolution Earth-imaging satellites, and Dhruva Space, which builds satellite platforms, are major recruiters. Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai have emerged as the key hubs for this private space ecosystem. Entering this exciting field requires a solid foundation. A bachelor's degree in engineering—specifically in aerospace, mechanical, electronics, or computer science—is the most common entry point. However, the industry's expansion means that professionals with backgrounds in physics, mathematics, and data science are also in high demand.
