It suggested that 30 to 60 minutes of muscle-strengthening activity per week was linked to a 10% to 17% reduction in the risk of early death, including from heart disease.

The greatest reduction in risk often occurs when going from no strength training to even modest amounts. Lunges: Step forward with one leg and lower your hips until both knees are bent at a 90-degree angle. Push back to the start and alternate legs. 4. Plank: Hold a push-up position, keeping your core tight and back flat. This can also be done on your forearms.
