Working while the rest of the world sleeps is a modern reality for many, but it comes at a cost that goes beyond fatigue. Decades of research have linked night shift work to a significantly higher risk of developing chronic health conditions. These include

They had another group of simulated night shift workers stick to the same work schedule but consume all their meals during daylight hours only. The results were striking. This group showed no significant increase in their blood glucose levels. By simply aligning their eating schedule with their body’s natural metabolic rhythm—eating when the body is ready for food—they were able to prevent the glucose intolerance associated with night work. Making Daytime Eating Work for You
