A buffer of 3-4 hours between connecting domestic flights is a safer bet, especially if you are transiting through a high-risk airport like Mumbai. For international connections, where you need to re-check luggage or clear immigration, even more time is prudent. For train travel, where delays can be more unpredictable and last longer, planning an overnight stay in your connection city might be the most stress-free option, especially on routes known for weather-related issues. If that is not feasible, aim for a buffer of at least 4-6 hours.
