the region's immense natural beauty for travellers while creating sustainable livelihoods for local tribal communities. The vision is clear: to transform Manyam's winding ghat roads and scenic trails into organised circuits for motorcycle and cycling enthusiasts. This initiative builds on the existing popularity of the area among riders and the success of a pilot tribal bike taxi service launched last year, which helped tourists reach remote waterfalls. The positive response to these early efforts has paved the way for a more comprehensive plan to put Manyam on the adventure tourism map.
Crafting the Perfect Ride
The administration's plan is both ambitious and strategic. Officials have been tasked with identifying 30-kilometre tourism circuits across the district's four assembly constituencies: Parvathipuram, Kurupam, Salur, and Palakonda. The goal is to create well-defined routes that connect key attractions like waterfalls, scenic viewpoints, and trekking points. These circuits will be designed to be safe and accessible, with provisions for rest shelters, food courts, and secure overnight stay facilities, including camping options. This structured approach aims to go beyond just riding, offering a holistic travel experience that showcases the best of the district's natural and cultural offerings. The project even includes the development of an official logo to brand this unique adventure.
Connecting with Nature and Community

Manyam is increasingly being branded as the "Home of Waterfalls," and for good reason. The district boasts numerous cascades, including popular spots like Moganali, Sikhaparuvu, and Lodda waterfalls, which have seen a surge in visitors. The new bike routes are being designed to link these stunning natural wonders. For instance, the existing tribal bike taxi service already ferries tourists to 16 remote falls that were previously hard to access. The administration also plans to develop other waterfalls like Dalaivalasa, Kurukutti, and Tonam, enhancing them with better facilities while preserving their natural charm. For a rider, this means a journey filled with the promise of discovering hidden gems and breathtaking landscapes at every turn. Adventure sports like rock climbing are also being planned to complement the experience.
