So, skipping carbs in favour of more protein is like putting a small engine in a race car; you simply won't have the power to perform at your best.

Fats have had a complicated history in nutrition advice, but they are absolutely essential for a healthy, functioning body—especially an active one. Healthy fats play a vital role in hormone production, including hormones like testosterone that are critical for muscle growth. Diets that are too low in fat can potentially disrupt these hormonal balances, which can negatively affect your ability to recover and build strength. Fats are also a major component of your cell membranes and are a dense source of energy for lower-intensity, longer-duration activities. The Risks of Going Overboard
While most healthy individuals can tolerate protein intakes above the standard recommendation, extremely high-protein diets are not without risks. Consuming excessive protein can place a strain on your kidneys, which have to work harder to filter waste products from protein metabolism. It can also lead to dehydration, as the body uses more water to flush out this waste. Furthermore, if high-protein foods, particularly red meats, replace fiber-rich carbohydrates and plant sources, it can lead to digestive issues and potentially increase the risk for other health problems. The key is adequacy and balance, not excess.
