In a video posted on Mumbay FC's official Instagram account, the actor personally confirmed that a “last-minute work commitment” has prevented him from travelling to Shillong for the tournament. Describing the situation as “really, really unfortunate,” Shroff expressed his regret at not being able to join his team on the field. While he did not specify the exact nature of the work commitment, he made it clear that it was an unavoidable professional obligation. This has put his much-anticipated competitive debut for the club on hold for now.
Fan Disappointment and a Message of Support
The news has understandably led to disappointment among fans who were excited to see the action hero translate his on-screen agility to the football field.
