The train covers approximately 536 kilometres in about 7 hours and 50 minutes, making it a popular choice for its speed and comfort. The adjustment is aimed at streamlining operations, but passengers accustomed to the old timing will need to adjust their arrival at the station to avoid any last-minute hassles.
New Morning Schedule for Varanasi-Deoghar Service
The early morning schedule for the Varanasi-Deoghar Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 22500) has also been adjusted. The train will now depart from Varanasi at 6:10 AM, instead of its previous time of 6:20 AM. This 10-minute advancement is particularly important for pilgrims and tourists heading to Deoghar, a major religious centre known for the Baidyanath Temple. The service provides a vital and fast connection between the two holy cities. With the new timing effective from September 2, passengers planning an early start must ensure they account for this change in their travel plans to the station.
What Stays the Same
While the departure times from Varanasi are changing, Indian Railways has confirmed that the schedules for these trains at all subsequent stations will remain unchanged. Passengers boarding the Varanasi-Ranchi Express at stations like Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Gaya, or Bokaro Steel City will not see any difference in their timetable. Similarly, the schedule for the Varanasi-Deoghar service remains the same after it leaves Varanasi. This targeted adjustment is confined only to the origin station to improve the overall punctuality and network flow without disrupting the entire route's timing.
