To apply, visit the official portal, select 'Register,' and enter your personal details, passport information, travel dates, mode of transport, and the address of your accommodation in Malaysia. After submission, you will receive a confirmation. It is highly recommended to save a digital copy or a screenshot of this on your phone.
Documents to Keep Ready
While the MDAC is digital, immigration officers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) will expect you to have several key documents on hand. To ensure a smooth verification process, make sure you are carrying your passport with at least six months of validity from your date of entry. You must also have a confirmed return or onward flight ticket to prove you intend to leave within the 30-day visa-free period. Additionally, be prepared to show proof of accommodation, such as hotel booking confirmations, and evidence of sufficient funds for your stay.
The E-Gate Advantage at KLIA
