Located on the Goa-Karnataka border, this four-tiered waterfall, whose name translates to "Sea of Milk," becomes a roaring spectacle during the rains. The railway line passes directly in front of the falls on a stone viaduct, offering passengers on the Mandovi Express an unparalleled, if brief, view of the water cascading down from a height of over 300 metres. For the best views of Dudhsagar Falls on the Mandovi Express (CSMT to Madgaon), a seat on the left side of the train is preferable. While the monsoon offers the best scenery, it can also lead to unpredictable delays, so travel with a flexible mindset. Pack a light raincoat and waterproof bags for your electronics.
