challenge that often goes unnoticed. High humidity prevents sweat from evaporating effectively, which is the body's main cooling mechanism. In response, your body works harder and sweats even more to try and regulate its temperature. This leads to a greater loss of fluids and essential minerals, known as electrolytes, than you might experience in dry heat. You might feel sluggish, unusually fatigued, and your muscles might feel sorer for longer, even if the workout itself wasn't more intense than usual.
