Why The Disruptions Are Happening
Indian Railways is undertaking significant upgrades, causing temporary but necessary changes to train schedules. The core of the project involves pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking work to connect a new third railway line between Bina station (West
Central Railway) and Agasod station (North Central Railway). This yard remodelling is a critical step to increase capacity, reduce traffic congestion, and improve the overall safety and efficiency of train operations in the region. The work is scheduled in phases, culminating on October 15, 2026, requiring numerous trains that pass through Bina to be rerouted.
Rewa, Jabalpur and Bhopal Services on New Routes
Several services connecting Madhya Pradesh will be affected. Train No. 12185 Rewa-Rani Kamalapati Rewanchal Express and its return service (12186) will be diverted via Katni, Jabalpur, and Itarsi from October 8 to 14. Similarly, Train No. 11703 Rewa-Dr Ambedkar Nagar Tri-Weekly Express will run via Bina Malkhedi, Guna, and Maksi on October 8, 11, and 13, with its return service (11704) following the same diverted route on October 9, 12, and 14.
