A Landmark Collaboration
Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence, has announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft to establish five dedicated Microsoft AI Labs across its campuses. This collaboration, which also involves Hitachi Systems India,
aims to embed advanced AI and digital innovation directly into the academic ecosystem. The new labs will be located at several of MAHE's constituent units, including T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) in Manipal and Bengaluru, Manipal School of Commerce and Economics (MSCE), Manipal Institute of Commerce, Finance and Economics (MICFE) in Bengaluru, and Manipal Law School (MLS) in Bengaluru. The announcement signals a significant commitment to moving beyond just teaching AI to creating an environment where students can actively build, experiment, and innovate with industry-grade technology. The launch was attended by senior leadership from all partner organizations, including Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, underlining the strategic importance of the alliance.
From Theory to Application

Instead of learning about AI concepts in the abstract, students and faculty will get hands-on access to Microsoft's advanced technologies, AI tools, and digital platforms.
