A New Standard of Comfort
The Vande Bharat Sleeper is designed to elevate the overnight travel experience. The 16-coach trainset is fully air-conditioned and features three classes: AC First, AC 2-Tier, and AC 3-Tier. The berths are designed to be wider and better cushioned than those on previous trains. Each coach is equipped with modern amenities, including automatic doors, improved soundproofing for a quieter ride, and sensor-based intercommunication doors. Passengers have access to individual reading lights, electric outlets, and both Type-A and Type-C USB ports for charging devices. For hygiene, the train is fitted with bio-vacuum toilets that feature odour control systems and sensor-based taps. Passengers in AC First Class will have the exclusive facility of a hot shower.
Advanced Safety and Features
Safety is a cornerstone of the Vande Bharat Sleeper's design. The train is equipped with the Kavach anti-collision system, which helps prevent accidents on the track. The coaches are built with high-strength stainless steel and feature advanced crash-protection elements. Onboard safety is enhanced with a network of CCTV cameras for surveillance and a comprehensive fire detection and suppression system. A passenger information system keeps travellers updated on the journey's progress, and an emergency talk-back system is available for urgent communication with the crew. The train's aerodynamic design and advanced propulsion system allow for quicker acceleration and deceleration, contributing to a smoother, jerk-free journey and reduced travel time.
