With a prioritised list in hand, the final part is execution. This involves turning your plan into action by scheduling the work and assigning it to your team. To maximise efficiency, group tasks together. For example, schedule all repairs in the same physical area for the same day, or group jobs that require a specific skill set or special tools. This minimises travel time and setup, allowing technicians to be more productive. As work is completed, it's essential to track progress using a work order management system, whether it's a simple spreadsheet or a dedicated software solution. This provides visibility into what's being accomplished and helps identify bottlenecks. Finally, make it a habit to regularly review and adjust your process.
