Also known as Dumukurallu Waterfalls, it's situated on the border of Andhra Pradesh within the Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary, about 120-130 km from Bangalore. The name 'Dumukurallu' refers to the sound of the water resembling falling stones. This perennial waterfall cascades from a height of about 40 feet over a large rock, creating a beautiful setting year-round. It's a popular spot for adventure seekers, especially for waterfall rappelling, which is offered by several operators during the monsoon season. The fall drops about 120 feet into a pool, creating a picturesque scene. Easily accessible from Mumbai (around 115 km) and Nashik (around 60 km), it's a great choice for a day trip. The nearest railway station is Kasara, from where you can hire a local taxi for the remaining short journey. While it's a popular adventure hub, a visit on a weekday can offer a much quieter experience. There are no major restaurants at the site, but local villagers can often arrange for simple, home-cooked meals.
