The collaboration builds on existing successful partnerships, most notably the NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite. Launched in July 2025, NISAR is an advanced Earth-observation mission that is already providing critical data on climate change, disaster management, and agriculture. The expanded lunar cooperation could involve ISRO contributing scientific instruments, robotics, and expertise gained from its Chandrayaan missions to the Moon Base effort.
