It’s easy to see why the prospect of his return excites fans. At his peak, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was a magician with the new ball. His international debut in 2012 was electric; he dismissed Pakistan's Mohammad Hafeez with the very first ball of his ODI career. He became a vital part of the team that won the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy and was renowned for his ability to swing the ball both ways, troubling the world's best batsmen.
