This wellness hack is not for everyone. The very acidity that provides the benefits also poses risks. Regular consumption, even diluted, can erode tooth enamel over time. To minimize this, consider drinking it with a straw and rinsing your mouth with plain water afterwards. Vinegar can also cause digestive upset or nausea in some individuals, particularly if consumed on an empty stomach. More importantly, individuals with certain health conditions should be cautious. People with digestive issues like gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying) or acid reflux may find vinegar worsens their symptoms. Those with chronic kidney disease may struggle to process the extra acid. Furthermore, anyone on medication for diabetes, including insulin, or diuretics for blood pressure should consult their doctor before trying this.
